Arcade Fire, Private show. Last night, I was close enough to see the sweat on Win Butler's brow and it got me thinking.

That wildly successful person you're picturing? They're probably not that different from you. Except for one thing: they decided to play big. And It paid off. Sometimes way bigger than they ever dreamed.

Too many of us are sitting on the sidelines. Scared of falling flat on our faces that we never even get in the game. We're protecting ourselves from failure.

You can't win if you don't play. So, what big game are you avoiding?

"Great startup experience and... great energy."

That's how an investor summed up our team’s experience during our last fundraise. Mariano got the startup experience. Me? I got "energy".

It was meant as praise. But it stung. For weeks, it gnawed at me.

I'm in the business of upskilling. My days revolve around dissecting skills. I preach the importance of non-traditional, non-technical, soft abilities - they're the future. I deliberately and consistently work on my "energy" - meditation, breath-work, exercise.

And still, it hit a nerve.

Today, I get it. It was a massive compliment. I am energy. That’s how I create. How I build.

AI is flipping the skills game on its head, pushing us back to our human core. But we're stuck in old thinking. It's time to trash our outdated beliefs about skills. Your "energy"? It's not just a trait. It's a superpower.

What "soft skill" are you overlooking? It might just be your edge in the future of work.
