She holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Physics and Biology from City University of New York-Brooklyn College, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in System Biology & Physiology from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and a B.A. in Philosophy from University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Dua-Awereh has an extensive professional background, having served in various roles such as Postdoctoral Scientist and Academic Graduate Associate at University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson, Region V Director & Regional Director at Student National Medical Association, and in research and laboratory positions at University of Pennsylvania, Brooklyn College, Columbia University, and New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Throughout her career, Dr. Dua-Awereh has demonstrated a commitment to academia and research, with a strong foundation in cellular and molecular biology, as well as a background in programming languages such as C++. Her experience in diverse settings showcases her adaptability and passion for scientific exploration.
