I am very proud to have earned this certification with the Digital Marketing Institute and the American Marketing Association earlier this year. This was a journey that began in March 2021 and ended with the certification in May 2022. When I began, I knew it was a program that would be challenging, but I had no idea that during this same time my mom and stepdad would need my support as they navigated ongoing life-changing health issues. Looking back, I can say that this period was one of the most stressful and difficult periods of my adult life. But I was committed to the program and to the project I'd undertaken.
When I finally received the certification in May, I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and gratitude. I realized that this was about more than just this education program - it was also about all that had happened in the prior year. Thanks to the love and support of my husband, children, family, and friends - I was able to achieve the goal I had set for myself despite difficult circumstances. My thanks go out to my supervisor, Rick Weekley, who was a steady source of encouragement. And finally, thanks to Edward Sands and the wonderful team at Tom's Food Markets, who gave me the opportunity to do this work with them.
