Highlights
Thrilled to announce I'm embarking on a new journey as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Oshi Health! After my sabbatical, I was determined to use my eight years of behavioral health experience to serve a new population. I am blown away by the virtual GI clinic the Oshi team has built and the incredible outcomes this multidisciplinary approach produces. This is the care I wish I’d had in my 20s, navigating my own gut health challenges. I'm eager to join this fantastic team to help Oshi achieve massive growth and scale with world-class technology enabling its life-changing care.
Hey folks, after three years at Joyable and four years at AbleTo I decided to close this chapter of my career and take some time off.
I was introduced to Joyable by Jill Isenstadt while I was working on an early stage startup with a friend. I had some experience with the impact CBT can have, seeing firsthand how it changed the life of a family member with OCD. After meeting Peter Shalek, I was sold on the vision of making high-quality, evidenced-based care fit people’s day-to-day lives using technology.
The wave of behavioral health interest and investment that our team rode together was remarkable. I’m both grateful and humbled to have had a hand in building and partnering with teams that would ultimately help hundreds of thousands of people access care and improve their mental health.
I’ve taken the past month or so off to recenter, spend more time with our two little boys, and go on some great hikes. I’m also working on a few side projects to flex my coding and entrepreneurial muscles a bit. I’ll continue to do that for a few months. I imagine I’ll find myself at another startup again soon enough.
Thank you to everyone who supported me on this journey. It’s been a huge growth experience for me as a leader. I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent the last years with so many curious, passionate and empathetic people. All the best to the team at AbleTo and to everyone else bringing new ideas and hard work to the mental health space.
