Last Friday I drove over an hour from my home to join fellow Workplace Evolutionaries for an in person Mosh Pit hosted by Radious in the beautiful home of the wonderful Nida Mehtab Gillio and her partner James. The topic was 'FOMO of Place' and thirty of us in person were joined virtually via Zoom by a whole bunch more from their preferred workplace on Friday afternoons. This might have been my 9th or 10th Mosh Pit but the first IRL and it was fantastic! It was so great to finally meet people I feel like I've known for ages but never seen in the flesh, so to speak. It was also wonderful to meet so many new friends and share stories and ideas about the future of workplace - which is hybrid, in case you are wondering my friends.

I suppose my biggest takeaway was the validation that we haven't quite figured out this new world yet and in fact we probably won't. Work will continue to evolve and so does workplace - there is no 'done' here. We all need to accept that and continue experimenting and iterating to find what works for our business and stop waiting for someone to deliver the perfect solution.

It took over an hour and forty five minutes to get back home thanks to San Francisco Bay Area weekend traffic, but it was well worth it.

Thanks to David Gray, MCR.w and Jomal M. for including me.

See you all in the pit again soon.
