Project Lead at Chemins de transition

Martin Deron is a project lead for the digital subgroup of Chemins de transition, a collaborative project by Université de Montréal and Espace pour la vie, exploring the convergence of digital and ecological transitions.

With a keen interest in the environmental impacts of the digital world, energy-related issues, and the transition to a post-growth system, Martin has a diverse educational background and professional experience.

His educational journey includes studying Challenging an unsustainable economic system at the Club of Rome's Summer Academy, Political Economy at the University of Sydney, a Master's in Environmental Management at Université de Sherbrooke, and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts focused on Economics, Public Policy, and Philosophy at University College Maastricht.

Martin has held various roles in different organizations, including being a project lead at Chemins de transition, a project and research assistant at Future Earth, a field ambassador at Equiterre, a script translator for Irish Celtic - Generations at Indigo Production Group, LLC, a host at FRANGLISH, a private tutor and translator (French/English) as a freelancer, and a French tutor at De Particulier à Particulier.
