Mary Jo Patterson is an accomplished professional with a strong educational background, holding a Master of Science (M.S.) degree from Marywood University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Mansfield University.

During her career, Mary Jo Patterson has been actively involved in various organizations, holding key roles such as Board Vice Chair at the Fairfax Library Foundation, where she also served as a Board Member. She has contributed to higher education initiatives through the Parent's Annual Fund at Yale University and has been a part of the TJHSST Alumni Advisory Council at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.

Mary Jo Patterson has also made significant contributions to youth-focused organizations, having served on the GSCNC Advisory Board at the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capitol and as the National TSA Advisor at the Technology Student Association. Her managerial skills were showcased during her time as a Manager at both the Technology Student Association and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). Prior to her managerial roles, Mary Jo Patterson gained valuable experience as a High School Teacher at Wallenpaupack Area School District.
