Massimo Marelli is a highly accomplished professional with a wealth of experience in the legal field, specializing in data protection, competition law, and international law.

Massimo holds an LL.M. in European Law from the prestigious University of Cambridge and an LL.B. from Queen Mary, University of London, showcasing his strong educational background.

He currently serves as the Head of the Data Protection Office at ICRC, where he oversees and drives data protection initiatives within the organization.

Prior to his current role, Massimo held various key positions, including Visiting Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law and Lawyer/Head of Data Protection Project at ICRC.

His expertise in data protection led him to serve as an Advisory Board Member and Fellow at the European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity (ECPC), highlighting his thought leadership in this area.

Massimo's diverse legal experience also includes roles such as Competition Lawyer at the Office of Fair Trading, Delegate at ICRC, Referendaire at the European Court of Justice, and Lawyer at Clifford Chance LLP.
