Mateo Montoya

PhD Candidate in the History of Science, Harvard University

Mateo Montoya is an accomplished individual with a diverse educational background. He holds a PhD in History of Science from Harvard University, a B.A. in Rhetoric with a Minor in History from the University of California, Berkeley, and has also studied Deuxieme Rhètorique at Athenée Royal de Mons. His academic journey began at Eureka Senior High School, where he obtained his High School Diploma.

Throughout his career, Mateo has been actively involved in various organizations, holding key roles in each. He has served as the Former Senior Curriculum Lead on the Human Contexts and Ethics Team at UC Berkeley Division of Data Sciences. Previously, he held the positions of Chief of Staff and Director of External Affairs at The Student Advocate's Office, Legislative Intern at California State Senator Nancy Skinner - District 9, Caseworker at The Student Advocate's Office, Political Internship/Stage Politique at Député Wallon and Échevin de Finance Georges-Louis Bouchez, Youth Ambassador at Rotary Youth Exchange, Waiter/Server, and Head Lifeguard at Baywood Golf Course.
