I did not learn what I’m sharing at school nor am I a professor. I have over 20 years of hands on experience, working in real environments, delivering 100s of digital products.
I started professionally designing digital products when I was 16. I launched my first start up when I was 19. This brought me first to London, then Silicon Valley. When I left the Bay Area I traveled the world for 3 years during which time I started HOO KOO E KOO, a remote-only company that helped over 200 startups and larger companies with digital product innovation.

At HOO KOO E KOO (Est. 2015) we fell in love with helping our clients build a better future and eventually, following many ups, several downs, and starting an AI consultancy on a side we created Future Works.

Beyond startups and agencies, in 2020 I started a community and non-profit organization which gathers business and community leaders, innovators, indigenous leaders, trailblazers, artists and investors around solving for problems of tomorrow. It’s called Future Horizon and it has been an invaluable source of learning. In fact, many members of the community contributed to shaping this very guide. Organizations born within the community have raised over $250M non-profit for impact, primarily in environment, education and social justice and countless relationships have been built.
In personal life, I’m married to the love of my life, who also is a founder and a CEO, we live between the US and Europe.
