Last week was my final week with Obsidian Renewables, LLC. I had such a great experience and am deeply grateful to my coworkers who kept the journey fun and always inspired me and supported my growth as a professional. David W Brown John Cable Kirk Moore Laurie Hutchinson Michelle Slater Karyn M. Shannon Souza Ken Dragoon Abraham Mooney, P.E.

I'm also grateful to everyone outside of Obsidian that met with me over the years about renewable energy, hydrogen, bioenergy, and carbon removal.

Energy project development has fascinated me for a long time because of its entrepreneurial and interdisciplinary nature, and its broad impacts on society and climate. Mentors warned me that I would need to super patient if I'm going to work in the field, because large projects take many years to get approved and constructed. I'm happy to say, however, that I disagree! Every single week presented me with surprising developments to fuel my curiosity - whether that be relationships with new collaborators, legislative/regulatory proceedings, technology breakthroughs, or evolving market needs. I remain as excited and optimistic as ever about Obsidian's projects, and about the energy transition globally.

Next week I will be continuing my energy project development journey, with NorthStar Clean Energy in Ann Arbor, Michigan. NorthStar owns and operates a portfolio of solar, wind, biomass, and natural gas generation assets, and I'm thrilled to be joining their solar development team and focusing on the rapidly growing Midwest/MISO markets.
