An absolute privilege to spend time with TeamBCH at the opening ceremony of the Transplant Games in Nottingham tonight, and to introduce our Charity Patron Ben Francis MBE to our inspiring transplant families.
The Transplant Games is a celebration of life, friendship and the amazing work of our NHS colleagues.
However, with over 7,500 people in the UK still waiting for a transplant, it’s also a reminder to sign up to the NHS Organ Donation Register, and to tell your loved ones of your intention ❤️

Sigh…
After a solid few months of training for the Struggle Moors 100miles bike ride in June, I’ve pulled my calf muscle 🤬
On advice from my physio, I’m not going to be able to do the organised event in a few weeks time…
….so, I’m going to make this harder. I’m now planning to do the ride on my own at the end of September (with my wife and daughter in the support car). Hoping that training will restart in a few weeks.
Thanks for all who have donated, we’ve smashed the target and you have helped motivate me to keep going. 🙏
Looking forward to getting on the 🚲 again soon!
