Matt Porter

Matt Porter is an Adjunct Professor at Boston College and the Associate Director for Communications at the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation.13 He joined the Foundation in October 2016, where he supports the Communications Department in various capacities, including media relations, public programming promotion, and digital communications.1 Porter also co-hosts the JFK Library Foundation's podcast, "JFK35".1

Prior to his current role, Porter has had a diverse career in communications and journalism:

  1. He worked as a Sports Features Writer for Boston Globe Media, covering hockey and other sports across New England.2
  2. He was a Bruins/NHL Writer for Boston Globe Media from June 2018 to December 2023.2
  3. Earlier in his career, he worked as a staff writer for The Palm Beach Post, focusing on Miami Hurricanes football and college sports.2

Porter holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Theatre from Boston College and a Master's of Science Degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.1
