Transformational Coach and Visionary Catalyst | Mindful Leader | Author - This is Coaching | Let's Play a Game Together
My current mission is to connect a coach to every founder in the world. I'm giving myself 10 years - through 2030.
WHAT I DO: I help people unleash their awesome on the world. I'm a leadership and executive coach, visionary, and change maker.
WHAT I BELIEVE: I believe each of us was put here for a purpose. That there is something within us - our own unique gift - that the world is calling for. And I believe we all literally create our universe - through our beliefs, our actions, and our energy. We make our world.
We're capable of creating a bigger impact in this lifetime than we could ever imagine. That includes you. You're here for more. More connection. More change. More love. More impact.
In 2015, I founded Golden Bristle to take action on those beliefs and make a bigger impact in the world. In 2021, I worked as CEO of Pilea to bring my impossible mission to life and shift business as usual in the startup world. In 2022, I returned to coaching to re-focus on my clients and other projects.
I coach change-makers to help them live into their purpose more fully. I train coaches so they can be their most powerful selves.
And I'm a proud member of communities of coaches, Founders Against Burnout, and VCs Who Care, all committed to the same mission: to help founders and their teams build companies to their fullest potential, without burnout.
5 questions guide my current missions:
-
Who does the world need us to be as leaders today and over the next 50 years?
-
What if each of us woke up every day and lived and worked from our truest purpose?
-
What if we were all committed to the success, health and well-being of all startup founders, and thus the health of our world?
-
How do we best bridge the two sides of our humanity today - technology and nature - in a world of ubiquitous software?
-
How can public and private work together to best shape the communities of tomorrow?
I was Made in Detroit.
Highlights
23 days left before we start living #vanlife. This was week 17:
Wins: 📋 Our house finally feels livable again...just in time to move. We started moving some things into our storage unit on Saturday and got it super clean by Sunday for our landlord to host an open house for new renters. 📋 We've now moved multiple car loads of boxes and are feeling like we're on track again to have it all done on time. 📋 Things are moving on Facebook Marketplace and people are proving to be consistently reliable to show up and pay. We still have some bigger items to sell but on the whole it's looking great.
Challenges: 🚧 We're tired. It's been quite a haul to get here and we still have some more to go before we take off. We've sometimes been cranky with each other which is the worst part of feeling stretched. It feels like good practice for being in a small space together for the next few months. 🚧 Lots of feelings as we prepare to leave Colorado. Our time here has been really special and we're going to miss our friends a ton.
What's Next: 👣 One last trip in the mountains with my brother and nephew this weekend. Fingers crossed the rain holds off. Pictures and videos to come.

50 days left before we start living #vanlife. This was week 13:
Wins: 📋 Having my dad out here was great both for getting things done and sharing some quality time together. His wisdom and experience were huge for us as we take care of the final details needed to get on the road. Some quick hits of what we did: 📋 Learned we DON'T need to repair the power steering lines bc there is no leak! It has a bit of normal wear and condensation. The dealership tried to pull one over on us. 📋 Pulled out the headlight assembly, dried it out, and sealed the edges to stop any future water from getting in. Repaired the windshield drainage tubes. 📋 Got the battery reset, BMS working, and battery fully charged. Everything is now perfectly operational. 📋 Picked out our paints and got two coats around the main walls and a single coat on the cabinets so far. All our upholstery is in for the curtains and seats, too. She's so beautiful inside now! 📋 Scheduled a full exterior detailing this week to get Babs nice and sparkly and protect the paint.
Challenges: 🚧 Time is ticking and we are constantly inspired to do more things that take time. We're feeling the crunch, especially as we also need to pack up to move out of our house. Some friends' weddings are this month so we're cramming things in during the week and just trying to take steps forward every day.
What's Next: 👣 Continue design work: painting and fabric/upholstery 👣 Ordered a new window assembly to replace a damaged window button
