Mr. Matthew A. Schneider

Founder, President and CEO | RWA Tokenization | Smart Cities | Lecturer, Speaker and Podcast Host

Matthew A. Schneider is the Founder, President, and CEO of Building, a real estate data infrastructure and PropTech company focused on property data standardization, valuation readiness, compliance automation, digital twins, and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.

He leads product development and applied research at the intersection of commercial real estate, capital markets, blockchain infrastructure, and enterprise data systems, with a practical emphasis on making buildings auditable, finance-ready, interoperable, and machine-verifiable across their full lifecycle.

Matthew has worked in real estate digitalization, blockchain-based asset structures, and institutional reporting standards since 2020, with earlier experience researching digital assets and decentralized systems beginning in 2017. His work addresses how fragmented property information—permits, BIM models, financials, ESG disclosures, and operational data—can be transformed into structured datasets suitable for valuation, underwriting, due diligence, compliance, and token issuance.

He is a frequent international speaker on topics including real estate tokenization, property data infrastructure, digital twins, smart cities, ESG reporting, and financial interoperability, and regularly participates in panels, workshops, and standards discussions across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Matthew currently serves on the Board of Directors of FIBREE (Foundation for International Blockchain and Real Estate Expertise), supporting global collaboration on blockchain-enabled real estate, data standards, and institutional adoption of tokenized assets.

He is also the host of Code & Concrete, a podcast exploring real estate, infrastructure, technology, and the data systems that underpin cities and capital markets.

📰 I appreciate Romain Millon 🤠 allowing me to refresh my editorial skills and write an article for this week's Chain R3action release!

I explain how blockchain-based solutions need to start addressing real world problems and how founders, with the right language and priorities, can set themselves apart.

🚀 I've attached the SEC's approval for listing and trading Ethereum-based funds on major stock exchanges like NYSE Arca, Nasdaq, and Cboe BZX.

This approval is a big step forward, making it easier for more people to invest in Ethereum through these new funds, just like they would with traditional stocks. It's definitely a milestone in our work to integrate crypto into mainstream financial markets!

💠 This paves the way for:

  • Grayscale Ethereum Trust
  • Bitwise Ethereum ETF
  • iShares Ethereum Trust
  • VanEck Ethereum Trust
  • ARK 21Shares Ethereum ETF
  • Invesco Galaxy Ethereum ETF
  • Fidelity Ethereum Fund
  • Franklin Ethereum ETF

🥂 Cheers to a change of tide in the crypto industry and the convergence of Traditional Finance and Decentralized Finance!
