Matthew Alemu is a highly educated professional with a diverse academic background.

He pursued a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Xavier University of Louisiana before continuing his education at the University of Michigan, where he completed a Master's Degree in Sociology and another Master's in Public Policy.

Matthew furthered his academic pursuits by attaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sociology and Public Policy from the University of Michigan.

Throughout his academic journey, he engaged in roles such as Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan and held positions at prestigious institutions such as the Government Accountability Office as an Analyst and Summer Analyst.

Prior to his analytical roles, Matthew contributed as a Research Assistant at the National Poverty Center and gained teaching and coordination experience as a Site Coordinator and Lead Teacher at the Family and Community Life Center at Xavier University.

His professional experience also includes a finance internship at Keystone Mercy Health Plan, showcasing his diverse skill set and interests.
