Matthew's professional experiences are extensive and diverse. He has made significant contributions as the Executive Director of the Brookline Teen Center, where he played a pivotal role in creating programs to support and engage local youth. His experience as a Trustee at the Brookline Conservation Land Trust reflects his commitment to community preservation and environmental stewardship. Additionally, as a former Board Member at the Lincoln Extended Day Program, he contributed to improving after-school programs for children and enriching their educational experiences.
Before his roles in leadership, Matthew honed his skills in various capacities, including as Director of Residential Services at Walker and as Treatment Coordinator at Germaine Lawrence, Inc. Here, he managed teams and implemented effective treatments for youth in need. His hands-on experience as a Residential Counselor and Direct Care Worker further showcases his dedication to working directly with individuals and families to create positive changes in their lives. Commencing his career journey, he also worked as a Research Assistant at Boston College, collaborating on projects that informed social work practices and policies. Furthermore, his early experience in the restaurant industry as the Assistant General Manager at Angry Dog Restaurant and Owner/Brewer at Main Street Brewing has equipped him with strong leadership capabilities and business acumen that he continues to apply in his current role.
In community sports, Matthew served as a Coach at Brookline Youth Lacrosse, illustrating his commitment to fostering teamwork and personal development among young athletes. His varied experiences create a unique blend of professional expertise combined with a passion for community engagement and service.
