Based on a historically challenging macro environment and financial backdrop, we made the painful decision to execute a strategic restructuring to focus our business operations to prioritize the continued commercialization of VOWST for patients with rCDI and to complete the ongoing Phase 1b study in immunocompromised HSCT patients for SER-155, a defined cultivated consortia microbiome therapeutic designed to reduce enteric infections, including AMR infections, and severe GvHD. As a result, we’ve had to let approximately 40% of our staff go across multiple functional areas of the company. It is very difficult to have to let go so many members of the team that have brought such passion and commitment to achieving our goals to bring a novel drug technology to patients and that represent incredible talent and scientific acumen. If your company is currently hiring and looking for microbiologists, immunologists, computational biologists, research assistants, project management, operations, manufacturing and quality staff please DM me directly on LinkedIn and I will follow-up.
