Last night I had a great night at Home Grown Club on the panel talking about entrepreneurship in the UK and the opportunities that lie ahead for fundraising and business growth.
For better or for worse I probably came across as inappropriately negative as one of the key drivers for almost every entrepreneur I know is capital gains tax and the fact that if they take a risk they get a lower tax reward.
The conclusion is for todays entrepreneurs, there is probably no difference between being an employee or a founder.
There may be a small window for those who are currently entrepreneurs to cash out, for those who are just starting out am sure (I hope!) there will be some tax reliefs to make it all worthwhile.
