Matthew A. Schroth is currently an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, practicing in the Firm's Real Estate Practice Group.1 He specializes in complex real estate transactions, including joint ventures, construction and development, debt and equity financings, restructurings, office and retail leasing, and acquisitions and dispositions across various real estate asset classes.1

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Matthew was a real estate associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.1 While at Kirkland & Ellis, he was part of the team that represented Robert Redford and Sundance Partners in the sale of the Sundance Mountain Resort.2

Matthew received his Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law in 2018, where he was a James Kent Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and was awarded the Class of 1912 Prize.1 He graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2013.1

Matthew is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.1
