Matthijs van Otegem is an experienced manager in the public sector with a career spanning over 15 years. Additionally, he has been involved as the Global Council Delegate at OCLC, Board member of the Netherlands Library Forum at FOBID Netherlands Library Forum, and Board Member at Liber.

Furthermore, Matthijs van Otegem has extensive experience in library services and operations, having worked in different capacities at the Koninklijke Bibliotheek. His roles included Director of Operations, Head of Expert Services & Collections, Head of Expert Services, and Policy Officer. He also contributed to the field as a Teacher at Nova College, showcasing his commitment to education and knowledge sharing.
