Mattieu Gamache-Asselin is the founder of Alto Pharmacy, a company he started in June 2015 with the goal of improving the drug supply chain to help patients.12 He is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and has a background in software engineering.1

Prior to founding Alto, Gamache-Asselin worked as an engineer at Parse, which was acquired by Facebook in 2013.1 He also had a stint as a software engineer at Adobe Systems from May 2010 to September 2011.1

Gamache-Asselin holds a BASc in Software Engineering with a focus on Biomedical studies from the University of Ottawa.1 He is bilingual, with native or bilingual proficiency in both French and English.1

In 2022, Gamache-Asselin was included in Fortune's 40 Under 40 list, recognizing his achievements as a young entrepreneur.4 He is also noted to be a Zimbabwean immigrant who moved to the United States after high school.3
