New method of design of cellular structures. Take a known crystal structure, calculate electron density isolevel and the plot it as a 3D figure and then 3D print it. Sounds easy, but there are hundreeds of thousands of crystal structures in databases so to choose perspective ones is not an easy task. Our finding is that among other parameters, mean curvature of the figure plays a role - the lower mean curvature (that means in opposite directions surface is curved in opposite directions like horse saddle), the better.
