Highlights
So before I was let go at Havas, I signed up for a pottery class with help from the Havas Chicago BetterU enrichment program.
The week after I was laid off, I started my first class. Emotionally it sucked but as soon as I started putting my hands on the clay, I instantly got back to myself.
Pottery making on the wheel is harder than I thought and yes I did stress out over a bowl. But it was such a wonderful opportunity and I couldn't be more thankful for the #HavasBetterU program.
I highly encourage all agencies to provide continuing education and enrichment dollars for their employees. We're able to achieve great things when our employers support our curiosities.
Now if only someone could invest in my future pottery studio...
So so happy to share that I've boomerang-ed back to Chemistry as Social Art Director! Here's to blowing shit up, again!
And a huge thank you to everyone that reached out with new opportunities and kind words of encouragement during my lay-off. It meant so much.
