Megan Kelso is a dedicated professional working towards enhancing nature-based solutions by integrating nature into risk models, insurance coverages, and financial tools.

With a solid background in coastal wetland science, policy, and human wellbeing impacts of conservation and development projects, Megan collaborates across diverse sectors such as environment, health, and development to advocate for more impactful and inclusive conservation efforts that benefit both people and the planet.

She completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Ecology from the University of California, Davis and holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology from Stanford University.

Megan Kelso has contributed her expertise to various esteemed organizations including the University of California, Santa Cruz as a Scientist in Coastal Conservation and Disaster Risk Reduction and as a Postdoctoral Scientist.

She has also worked as a Conservation Scientist at The Nature Conservancy, NatureNet Science Postdoctoral Fellow at The Nature Conservancy and University of California Los Angeles IoES, and as a Graduate Student in wetland ecology at UC Davis.

Megan's professional journey includes roles such as Restoration Field Educator at Save the Bay and Water Resources Specialist - Americorps at Point Reyes National Seashore.
