Did you know that from 2007 to 2022, only 2 drugs specifically for childhood cancers were approved by the EMA and 5 by the FDA? In contrast, 14 new cancer medicines for adults received FDA approval in 2023 alone.

Cancer Research Horizons and LifeArc have launched C-Further – an international consortium working to develop new, tailored and well-tolerated drugs for childhood cancers and I couldn't be more proud to support their efforts at American Association for Cancer Research's Advances in Pediatric Cancer Research in Toronto this week.

Today, a panel discussion about the consortium's efforts to remove barriers to progress and advance innovative treatments for #ChildhoodCancer featured:

🌟 Stacey Adam, Vice President, Science Partnerships at Foundation for the National Institutes of Health

🌟 Michele Cleary, CSO, Advancium Health Network

🌟 Abbe Pannucci, Alice's Arc US Inc. Board of Directors

🌟 Cynthia Hawkins, Neuropathologist, The Hospital for Sick Children

🌟 Tony Hickson, CBO, #CancerResearchHorizons
