She has an illustrious background, including serving as the Director of the San Francisco Department of Environment under Mayor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Edwin Lee.

During her tenure, San Francisco achieved remarkable milestones like an 80% waste diversion rate and being named the Greenest City in North America.

With her expertise, Nutter championed innovative environmental programs on zero waste, green building, climate and energy, toxics reduction, and clean transportation.
