It's not everyday you're asked to engage with a policy issue in the federal government through art making. My work, along with works by fellow colleagues at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada / Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada, are now prominently displayed at the main entrances of IRCC headquarters as elevator wraps. Each selection reflects on the theme of anti-racism, diversity, equity and inclusion. Honoured for this unique opportunity to bridge my public policy and art practices, and give voice within the institution to my family's journey, 40 years after they immigrated to Canada.
