Melinda Aldrich

Dr. Melinda Aldrich is an accomplished epidemiologist specializing in the study of environmental and genetic risk factors associated with complex diseases like lung cancer and COPD, particularly within diverse populations.

Having a strong educational background, Dr. Aldrich pursued her PhD in Epidemiology and MPH in Epidemiology/Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley, after completing her BA in Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Dr. Aldrich has previously held positions as an Assistant Professor at the same institution, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco, a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley, a Research Associate, and a Research Assistant at Genentech.

Her research focuses on leveraging epidemiologic cohorts and electronic health records linked to biobanks to gain insights into lung cancer and pulmonary function.

Dr. Aldrich's work has been instrumental in advancing our understanding of the complexities surrounding lung diseases, contributing significantly to the field of epidemiology.
