Melissa Corto is an educator and entrepreneur with a passion for empowering students and improving the education system.

With 9 years of experience teaching in a NYC Title I high school and serving as a mentor and assistant basketball coach, Melissa has a strong background in advocating for alternative approaches to education.

She is the former CEO and Co-Founder of Education Modified, where she focused on providing innovative solutions for teachers to enhance student outcomes.

Melissa holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Education Policy Analysis from Teachers College, Columbia University, a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from Long Island University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Connecticut.

Her organizational experience includes roles such as Co-Founder of the Whole Leadership Breakfast Initiative, Mentor Teacher at Hunter College, and Special Education High School Teacher at the NYC Department of Education.

Passionate about the intersection of policy, technology, and social entrepreneurship in education, Melissa Corto is dedicated to driving positive change in public education for all.
