Melissa Horn is an 18-year cancer survivor and a passionate advocate dedicated to giving a voice to those with stories to tell and driving positive policy change.

Her educational background includes a Certificate in Public Affairs Management from the Public Affairs Council, a Master of Public Affairs in Public Policy with a 4.0 GPA from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and dual enrollment coursework with High School Transfer Credits from Saint Louis University.

Melissa has held various roles in prominent organizations, including State and Local Policy Representative at the National Association of REALTORS®, Online Advocacy Manager at the National Association of REALTORS®, Field Campaign Manager at the Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association, Government Relations Director at Health First Wisconsin, Government Relations Director at the American Heart Association, Regional Grassroots Advocacy Director at the American Heart Association covering Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin, Grassroots Manager at the American Cancer Society in Missouri, and a Legislative Intern at the Missouri Capitol in the 4th Senate District Office of the Minority Leader.
