How to embrace ethical principles and explainability in AI? At yesterday's #SDS2024 workshop, various research approaches towards explainable AI and integrity were presented, ranging from "ethical and explainable recommender systems" to XAI in the financial sector, in healthcare, and in LLMs. Some questions included:
💡 How to avoid influencing decisions with LLM recommendations: Could providing support instead of decisions or explanations of decisions help to prevent influencing users? 🔁 Can indicators reveal the level of integrity of an AI system within the data & AI value chain? 👩💻 Explainability aspirations vary among different stakeholders - how can we address both tech experts and system users?
