Highlights
In writing this post, I am filled with gratitude and nostalgia. After 27 years as President of my healthcare executive search firm, Steve Weiner Search Group, I am retiring on June 1st! I am fortunate to be able to say I have loved my job, solely due to the wonderful people I’ve had the privilege to work with, be it candidates, clients, colleagues and so many others. Reflecting on the 230+ leadership searches my team and I have successfully completed in over 30 states, I am thankful for the opportunities I was given as well as to those who contributed to making that happen! I am embracing retirement with many cherished memories and am excited for this next chapter in my life.

My team and I thought this article was compelling as many organizations are struggling to sustain their culture during and since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Building and maintaining a viable culture during these times is crucial to the ongoing success of any organization.
Upon his return to Walt Disney, Bob Iger, CEO, has directed remote/hybrid employees to return to the office/field four days per week. He states:
"...nothing can replace the ability to connect, observe, and create with peers that comes from being physically together, nor the opportunity to grow professionally by learning from leaders and mentors... It is my belief that working together more in-person will benefit the company’s creativity, culture, and our employees’ careers."
