Mia Lei is a professional with extensive experience in global health and assistive technologies. She worked as an Assistive Technologies Associate at Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) from January 2021 to December 2021 in Monrovia, Liberia.1 In this role, she led support to the Government of Liberia to develop an Assistive Technologies (AT) program for people with functional impairments and disabilities.1

Key achievements in her role at CHAI include:

  1. Developing and costing the first AT National Strategic Plan
  2. Creating foundational procurement and supply chain governance documents for AT products
  3. Supporting governance, advocacy, and legislative needs related to assistive technologies1

Mia Lei has also held other positions at CHAI, including Health Financing Project Manager in Malawi and HIV Prevention Associate.1 Currently, she is the Co-Founder and Lead of CareForAll, an organization focused on developing a social movement to win national health insurance legislation in the United States.1

Her work in Liberia contributed to the development of the Liberia National Priority Assistive Products List (APL), a critical document guiding the prioritization of assistive technologies in the country.2
