Michael Chaplin

Michael Chaplin is a seasoned professional with a strong academic background and extensive experience in the legal field, academia, and entrepreneurship. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management from the University of Washington before completing his Doctor of Law (JD) with Magna Cum Laude honors at the University of Notre Dame Law School.

During his time at Notre Dame, Michael demonstrated his research and writing skills by publishing two law review articles and assisting professors with their publications. Post-graduation, he practiced law at two prestigious international law firms from 2000 to 2007, where he gained valuable legal experience. Since 2007, Michael has been actively engaged in teaching law and business, contributing to the academia.

Before embarking on his legal career, Michael founded and managed three independent businesses, honing his skills in organizational management and daily operations. His diverse background in law, academia, and entrepreneurship provides a unique perspective and a wealth of experience that enriches his professional journey.

Currently, Michael serves as an Instructor at Everett Community College, drawing on his practical experience and academic achievements to educate future professionals. His past roles include positions as an Instructor at North Seattle College, Assistant Professor at California State University, Northridge, and Attorney at White & Case LLP and Reed Smith LLP.
