Bit late with the update, but here goes.

After an amazing 10 years at Reason (a DCX Company) I'm excited to announce that I've joined Fanatics Live as VP of Product Design! On a journey to revolutionise the sports collectibles space through content, community & commerce.

Excited to be joining forces with Nick Bell once again, and working with the mega team here at Fanatics.

We just wrapped up one of the most intense yet enjoyable team projects at Reason I've had the pleasure of working on in years. Our retrospective revealed what made it a big success:

Diverging Then Converging: For every wicked problem we encountered, rather than all trying to solve it at once, team members first developed their own approach. We picked the best parts to combine into our solution.

AI-Assisted: Leveraging AI tools to rapidly synthesize relevant research, and create killer storytelling. The time savings were incredible, the output better than we could have managed and it was fun to learn something new.

Shared Ownership: By avoiding silos and splitting workstreams, every team member took personal ownership of project goals. This created huge amounts of trust and catalysed the team.

Immersive Work With Purposeful Breaks: While deep immersive work is important, building in intentional breaks to process and digest information was pivotal to boosting creativity and progress.

Deliver As You Go: Starting deliverable builds immediately rather than waiting until the eleventh hour also allowed more room for iterations and polish based on early feedback.

This blend of empowered teams, smart technology, and leveraging cognition patterns just works. I want to do it again.
