Michael Fraade

Michael Fraade is currently a fifth-year rabbinical student at Hebrew College and has an extensive background in Jewish education and community service. He previously served as a Fellow at Hadar, an independent egalitarian yeshiva in New York City, from September 2019 to March 2020, where he engaged in full-time study and community leadership.12

Fraade's professional experience includes roles as a farmer and Jewish outdoor educator, where he focused on integrating Jewish values with environmental stewardship. He has also volunteered with various nonprofits that emphasize food justice, reproductive rights, and Jewish communal life. Additionally, he completed a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he currently works part-time as a chaplain.1

Residing in Cambridge, MA, Fraade is married to Rabbi Jenn Queen, and they share their home with their dog, Priya.1 His diverse experiences reflect a commitment to both Jewish learning and social justice initiatives within the community.
