Michael has held prominent positions in organizations like the Stimson Center, the Center for Naval Analysis, and various boards and consulting firms, including Zura Consulting and Vive Concierge.

His career includes roles such as Deputy Commander at US Africa Command, Director at Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, Chief of Legislative Affairs at the Dept of the Navy, and Commander of various task forces and squadrons within the US Navy.
