Highlights
For the past few weeks I've been in Prague, where I'm in the process of setting up Swift Passage s.r.o., our first venture outside the United States. Establishing a permanent presence in the European Union will allow us to offer year-round support in some of the world's most affluent markets to our American and future global clients. Instead of cramming back-to-back meetings into a few hectic, jet-lagged days, our partners will benefit from full-time eyes, ears, and voice in European markets well before it's time to consider a foreign subsidiary of their own.
Choosing Prague for this endeavor was a personal decision, rooted in my deep connection to the city since my first visit in 1987. The allure of its architecture, rich history, and hidden corners has always captivated me. Even now I'm still discovering previously unknown, enigmatic little neighborhoods that feel like stepping into another era. Several significant life events, including the birth of my daughter, took place during my time here in the 1990s, and my ties to friends in the city remain strong. Prague's central location with excellent air connections across Europe adds to its appeal.
