With the right investments in #brainhealth and putting in regular #braintraining reps, after 45 we can (with some effort) exhibit high or even peak ability to:
- Manage complexity and develop a higher form of mind (Harvard)
- Innovative thinking, focus, and transformational thinking (Texas)
- Collaborative relationships (Stanford)
- Peak focus and processing speed into your 60s and 70s (Nature Journals)
- #Neuroplasticity can remain high into your 70s (Texas)

As adults, goal-directed effort is required.

Use it or lose it. The benefits are many.
-
𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: can build a deeply experienced workforce that is focused, innovative, transformational, able to manage complexity, engaged and collaborative - thus a good match to the cognitive strengths of younger and less experienced employees who are the future of your firm.
-
𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: can leverage the experience and strengths of the older workforce to develop the next generation of leaders. Now to be clear this has 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 to do with the #myth of #generations.
It has everything to do with higher-order thinking, cognition, and helping future leaders develop their mental map of the world so that one day these leaders can offer their #wisdom.
So when AI gives every employee instant and affordable access to the models and computation that we call intelligence, leveraging wisdom to complement AI will become priceless. 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐭.
This is the way.

“Youth is no guarantee of brilliance and age does not ensure wisdom — nor, however, does it guarantee dementia. I’ve seen many students and clients burn out in their 30s and septuagenarians champing at the bit for adventure.”
Well said, Jeff Sonnenfeld
