I wrote my undergrad thesis about negative probabilities and their use in quantum mechanics. After dropping my thesis on my supervisor's doorstep at 4:52am, 8 mins before deadline, I caught a taxi home. My taxi driver heard about my topic, and told me he'd never believed in negative numbers anyway. We spent the next 40 minutes discussing this disbelief - he was very thoughtful about it, and somewhat stressed at this clash with society at large
