Dr. Michael Reinhardt is a dedicated professional with a profound commitment to medical education and academic geriatric psychiatry. He has held various leadership roles in prestigious organizations and has a rich academic background. Dr. Reinhardt's journey in geriatrics began with being selected as a Scholar of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, followed by a two-year HRSA-funded fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry. His fellowship allowed him to engage in advanced training at Duke University and paved the way for his current roles at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. At SUNY Downstate, Dr. Reinhardt serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Associate Director of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry, Director of the Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program, and more. He has been actively involved in educational initiatives, research, and clinical advancements within the field of geriatric psychiatry. Dr. Reinhardt is board certified in both psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry, showcasing his expertise and dedication to the field.
