Michael Robbins is a seasoned social entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in various leadership roles, ranging from grassroots initiatives to working at the White House during the Obama administration. He co-founded District of Learning with the MacArthur Foundation, transitioning it into Learning Pathmakers. Robbins has a strong background in education engagement and digital transformation.

Robbins has a rich history of driving change in the education sector, having led global operations for the FIRST Robotics Programs and taught AI to middle schoolers in Washington, DC. With a passion for technology since his early days, he wrote his first computer program on a TRS-80 Model 12 and has been active online since before the web's inception. His professional journey includes stints at Apple and SAIC.

Raised in Huntsville, Alabama, Robbins comes from a family with diverse backgrounds in engineering, art, and entrepreneurship. He holds liberal arts and dual master's degrees focusing on social entrepreneurship and cross-sector leadership. Robbins has also engaged in public theology studies and has pursued programs in AI.

An accomplished public speaker and winner of the Moth StorySlam, Robbins has delivered keynote addresses at prestigious events like SXSW, PTA, and United Way. He has been associated with prominent organizations such as Learning Pathmakers, Span Learning, and The RSA, showcasing his commitment to driving positive societal change through various initiatives.
