🌈 Seeking Volunteers for "Straight Friendly" Global Podcast Production in Toronto 🌈
Hello, communities! My name is Michael (מיכאל), a gay-queer entrepreneur originally from the Galilee. Before the war, I taught entrepreneurship and innovation at NYU Tel Aviv and managed my content business, "Straight Friendly," while building a global queer startup. Due to the war, I had to close our Haifa office and lay off a team of 11 freelancers, resulting in the cancellation of much of my work.
Since October, I’ve been displaced and am currently navigating life as a digital nomad. A month ago, I arrived in Canada, and I’m excited to share that I’ll soon be settling in Toronto for a few weeks, thanks to a house-sitting opportunity.
During my time in Toronto, I’m producing several episodes for my global "Straight Friendly" podcast. These episodes will focus on queer entrepreneurship, businesses, and startups—topics that are close to my heart. While I believe in compensating people for their work, the events of this year have led to a loss of all my budgets and income. I’m reaching out to see if anyone might be interested in volunteering to help with the production.
If you or someone you know might be interested, please comment below or reach out directly. If there’s enough interest, I’ll create a form to organize the volunteers. Managing multiple projects without a budget or team has been an enormous challenge, and your support would mean the world to me.
I deeply value the connections I’ve built through communities like CBST and Shaar Zahav, and while I can’t attend Shir Libenu in person, I feel a strong connection to these spaces.
Thank you for your support and solidarity. Let’s work together to create something impactful. ❤️
🚀 Excited to announce that I will be speaking at the Future Workforce Global Summit in Berlin, Germany, on June 20-21, 2024! 🌍✨

The summit will bring together thought leaders from around the world, and I am thrilled to share insights from my experiences as an entrepreneur, lecturer at NYU TLV, and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore how we can navigate the challenges and harness the opportunities in the evolving workforce landscape.
