We reported our Q2 earnings today, and I want to thank all of our customers for their trust and support, as well as our partners and the CrowdStrike team for coming together to respond to the July 19th incident. We are focused on one thing, customer success, and we are committed to becoming an even better, more resilient, and more customer-obsessed CrowdStrike.

We delivered a strong quarter demonstrating the resilience of CrowdStrike: Q2 net new ARR of $218 million +11%, Q2 ending ARR of $3.86 billion +32% YoY, and $272 million of free cash flow with a FCF rule of 60.

Our Next-Gen SIEM, identity protection, and cloud security hypergrowth businesses together surpassed $1 billion in ending ARR, growing more than 85% YoY. These results showcase CrowdStrike as cybersecurity’s AI-native consolidation platform of choice. Through our Falcon Flex licensing model, customers are adopting more of the Falcon platform than ever before.

Look forward to seeing you all at Fal.con! #crowdstrike

It was great to connect with many people and the broader cybersecurity community this week. It was obviously a different Black Hat for us at CrowdStrike than any other. But it was important for us to be there to talk directly with everyone about the Channel File 291 incident, what we got wrong, and share how we move forward with greater resiliency.

That said, the number of people that came up to me as I walked the halls to connect and talk about not only the incident, but the learnings, the features we have released, and the new capabilities we are designing moving forward was amazing. It’s a reminder of what a great community we have. This includes the many partners and even competitors who were positive and supportive. We are grateful for this.    I hope that everyone gets a chance to read the RCA and executive summary about the incident which you can find in the Remediation and Guidance Hub: https://lnkd.in/gHi2tB6q   I also wanted to take the opportunity to share details and links to a few blog posts we released this week.   Firstly, we released a blog earlier today which is a technical analysis of CrowdStrike’s kernel access and security architecture. It’s a great read.  We cover the CrowdStrike Falcon sensor architecture on the Windows operating system and the corresponding benefits to users’ protection, performance and adaptability to emerging threats. I want to recognize the Falcon sensor team for writing this and acknowledge the collaboration with Microsoft over the past three weeks: https://lnkd.in/g-iMe3Zu   In the current environment, misinformation has also become increasingly prevalent, and so earlier this week we also released a blog addressing false claims about Falcon sensor vulnerabilities.  Simply put, there is no mechanism to write to arbitrary memory addresses or control program execution, and we use cert pinning to mitigate MitM. You can find that post here:  https://lnkd.in/gkvAQHuP   As we move forward, we will continue to share information and be open about the lessons learned from this incident, as well as process improvements and new platform capabilities that CrowdStrike is deploying to help ensure further enhanced resilience.
