Michael Sorrell is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background. He holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Duke University, a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Duke University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Oberlin College. He also attended St. Ignatius College Prep for his earlier education.
Currently, Michael Sorrell serves as the President of Paul Quinn College. Prior to this role, he was a Special Assistant to the Executive Director at President Clinton's Initiative on Race.
Highlights
Paul Quinn College has received a very generous gift that allows us to hire four development professionals - a Vice President, a Director of Annual Giving, an Associate responsible for Research, and an Executive Assistant for the group. We are looking to fill these positions with people who have a proven track record of working well together, are innovative, and have significant relationships in at least one of three geographical areas (Texas, the West Coast, and/or the Northeast). Because this group will be tasked with building a sustainable and high-functioning department, we are asking them to commit to these roles for a three to five year period.
