Prior to that, Michele worked as a Senior Consultant at Janes and held positions such as Project Officer/Consultant at Transparency International UK, Defence and Security Analyst at Janes, and Consultant for Global Export Controls & Sanctions at Deloitte UK. Notably, Michele has also contributed as a Freelance Writer and a Research Assistant in Nuclear Policy at the Royal United Services Institute. Moreover, Michele's experience includes being a Peer Reviewer for the 2015 Government Defence Anti-corruption Index at Transparency International and holding administrative and project support roles at various institutions such as Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia and the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratization.
