It was great to attend another ACSS London Chapter event last night. Our speakers included Sam Mannion from OFSI, Adrian Waterman KC from Matrix Chambers and Gavin Proudley from Dow Jones. They provided fascinating insight about circumvention of sanctions, how the UK courts are interpreting sanctions, and about compliance trends. Having Sam there to explain OFSI's approach and answer various questions from the audience was fantastic and we look forward to welcoming Sam and his colleagues to future events. Engagement with the regulator is very much a two way street and forums such as the ACSS enable compliance industry professionals and the regulator to share experiences, concerns and ideas.
