Here's a recent post from my friends and colleagues at the Overseas Voting Initiative, a collaboration between The Council of State Governments and the United States Department of Defense Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP), about a really fascinating tour of Brevard County, Florida Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic's office last year that I was fortunate to be able to participate in, as part of my prior consulting work with the OVI.
Check out Rachel Wright's excellent article on the Brevard visit and what we learned:
"Remote Observation and Ballot Duplication in Florida’s Brevard County: Supervisor of Elections Highlights Remote Observation Procedures and an Improved Ballot Duplication Process During Overseas Voting Initiative Visit"

And if you can't get enough on this topic, there are plenty more articles on Ballot Duplication - 12, in fact! - on the OVI's website beginning with one I wrote in the summer of 2020: "Ballot Duplication: What it is, what it is not and why we are talking about it in 2020".

Here here is the link to the full series, with the most recent article from Rachel appearing first: https://lnkd.in/gmv3h9DD
Happy reading, everyone, and thank you again to SOE Bobanic and staff for an excellent tour!
It's always fun when your career passions (voting!) and other passions (football!) collide in a positive way.
I just read this article about the National Football League (NFL)'s very cool program - NFL Votes - to encourage voting and civic engagement! Woo-hoo!
https://lnkd.in/gX7e--qU
The NFL Votes page on the NFL's website states describes this program as follows:
"NFL Votes is a league-wide, nonpartisan initiative that supports and encourages civic engagement among NFL players, and legends, club and league personnel, and fans. The initiative was founded in 2020 as a joint effort between the NFL and NFL Players Association and focuses on three key components of the electoral process: voter education, voter registration, and voter activation."
The article states: "The Buffalo Bills will collaborate with its local Board of Elections to host an interactive voter and poll worker registration drive at their first two home games of the regular season."
Hey Erie County Board of Elections, please reach out if you need some help! And Go Bills! 💙❤️💙❤️
