Michelle Strucke is an experienced international advocate, manager, and policy professional with over eleven years of experience focusing on human rights, humanitarian assistance reform, and accountable governance.

Currently serving as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Global Partnerships in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, with prior roles at the Department of Defense overseeing stability and humanitarian affairs, including COVID-19 global response.

Previous experience includes leadership roles at Oxfam where she worked on making aid and development finance more accountable, transforming the humanitarian system, and advocating for international human rights issues.

Bringing expertise in humanitarian assistance, international development policy, conflict zones, governance, gender, and international law, Michelle excels in persuasive advocacy, policy analysis, and inclusive decision-making.

Michelle is proficient in Arabic and Spanish, with extensive experience living in the Middle East, and additional fieldwork in Cambodia and Ghana. She holds a B.A. from Ithaca College and an M.A. with distinction from The American University in Cairo.
